BOOK DRIVE - I am making an appeal on behalf of the Bessemer Elementary PTA. We are currently conducting a book drive in hopes of getting books in the hands of all the kids especially those who will be tested by the state on the reading proficiency. We are looking for books in new and used condition that are age appropriate for K-5 and we could use some that are of middle school level as well. The books can be dropped off in front of the Genesis media center door as we will be providing a box to receive what we collect. Our cutoff date will be Monday December 15th so that we can sort and get them in the hands of parents and children at our December PTA meeting. We are determined to raise the bar and challenge our children, parents, teachers, and administration to get the test scores to a positive range. FROM REV .NIEILS CHAPMAN.
Have a great week! Santes Beatty,
Youth Pastor
