6-Week Bible Study Series:
Making Room for the Next Generation:
Preparing, Empowering, and Releasing
Week 1: God’s Vision is Generational Scripture: Genesis 17:7–9Key Focus :God makes covenants not just with individuals but with generations. Leaders must begin with the conviction that the future belongs to those coming after us. Discussion Points:ï‚· • What does it mean to lead with legacy in mind?ï‚· • How can we pray and plan with future generations at heart? Weekly Prayer: Lord, help us this week to walk in humility and purpose. Give us the courage to make room for others, to empower the next generation, and to let go of anything that hinders legacy. Teach us how to pour into others what You have poured into us. In Jesus' name, Amen. Leader's Reflection: This week, reflect on where God might be calling you to step aside, step up, or stretch forward to empower someone younger. Are there areas in your ministry or life where you're holding on out of fear rather than faith?
Week 2: Moses and Joshua: A Model of Transition Scripture: Deuteronomy 31:1–8; Joshua 1:1–9Key Focus: Moses didn’t cling to power; he commissioned Joshua. The call is to release, not restrain. Discussion Points:ï‚· • What did Moses do to prepare Joshua?ï‚· • What are signs that someone is ready to step up spiritually and practically?ï‚· • What holds us back from releasing others? Weekly Prayer: Lord, help us this week to walk in humility and purpose. Give us the courage to make room for others, to empower the next generation, and to let go of anything that hinders legacy.
